[ getting source from svn ]

If you want to help us, make sure you first have a working alioth user. There is a lot of info on how to check out the svn repository, follow these instructions and you will be all set.

The svn-buildpackage tool, available as a debian package, will be very useful. Click on the link for a HowTo.

  [ reporting bugs ]
Lirc is a complex package, affected by changes in the kernel version and constantly supporting new hardware, both remotes and receivers.
If things are not working as expected, do not hesitate to report a bug, preferably using the excellent reportbug tool. It provides us with all the needed information in order to better help you.
